How to Apply Extended Cone Head Clips to your Safety Net
Over time, if your Pool Safety Net is left off of your pool for an extended amount of time or becomes older, you may experience what we refer to as “Net Shrinkage”. In most cases, the shrinkage may not even be noticeable. However, if your net is becoming harder to hook into all of its anchors, you may want to try and swap some of those hard to reach cone head clips for longer cone head clips.
Most installations use a Standard 1 Inch Cone Head Clip. If your net installation uses other clip systems, like Round Loop Clips or Wall Carabiners, these clips cannot be extended using the extended clips.
Determine the Extension Length
Determine how many more inches of reach your clip needs to reach the deck anchor. Based on your measurement, there are three extended clip sizes to choose from. The Standard 1 Inch, 2 Inch, 4 Inch & 6 Inch
Use pliers to remove the existing clip
Your existing cone head clip should be clamped onto your safety net. Carefully us a pair of pliers to pull back on the end of the clip so it removes from the net.
Hook the ended clip into place
Insert your extended clip into the same place you removed the original clip from. Use the pliers to re-clamp the clip into place.
