How to Have a Pool Cover Custom-Made

You know you need a pool cover, whether to keep your pool safe, keep out debris, or both. But if your pool is an odd shape or has a water feature, not just any cover will do. This is how you can have a custom-made swimming pool cover.

Start by Identifying the Type of Cover You Want

Automatic

For a reliable and convenient way to keep your pool safe, an automatic pool cover is an excellent choice. With the push of a button, you can seal or reveal your pool in minutes. Automatic covers work best on regularly shaped pools like squares or rectangles, but can be made to fit pools of other kinds with the right modifications.

In addition to convenience, automatic pool covers are also strong enough to stand on in an emergency; it feels a little like walking on a water bed. Custom-made automatic swimming pool covers also keep leaves and debris out of your pool, as well as reduce water evaporation. This helps to keep your pool warmer, water levels correct, and preserves the effect of chemistry like chlorine.

The Cost of Custom Automatic Pool Covers

Our most common installation is via deck-mounted top racks, but we also provide recessed top tracks, recessed undertracks, and more. The cost of a custom automatic pool cover will be dependent on the size of your pool and the customization required. Your local All-Safe reseller can help you determine if an automatic pool cover will work for you.

Mesh

If you have an obstruction preventing the installation of tracks along the sides of your pool, or an especially unique shape, a mesh pool cover may be a better option. All-Safe’s mesh covers are made from the strongest mesh material, independently tested by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

Using mesh for your custom-made swimming pool cover means you get security with the added benefit of protection from leaves and other debris. Mesh pool covers are an ideal way to cover your pool for long periods, like during winter. Mesh covers aren’t the best for daily use, they’re heavy and can take 30 minutes or more to attach or remove.

The Cost of Custom Mesh Pool Covers

Custom mesh pool covers cost will also vary depending on your pool area setup, but without the electronic component of the automatic cover it makes them a slightly more affordable option.

Leaf Pool Net Combination

If you’re planning a custom-made swimming pool cover for debris protection, consider a leaf pool cover. This cover type is lightweight and easy to apply or remove in about 5-15 minutes.

A leaf cover, while highly effective at keeping debris out of the water, is not a variety of safety equipment on its own and will not prevent your child from falling into the pool. We recommend pairing your leaf cover with a pool safety net.

Both custom-made leaf swimming pool covers and pool nets attach to the same anchors installed on your pool deck, making it even easier to get both types of cover at once. Leaf covers paired with pool nets only take about 5–15 minutes to remove and replace, so daily swimming while protecting your pool is easy.

Color Variations

Colors on your screen or brochure may not match the actual color of your product.

Due to the many variations in monitors, phones, and browsers, color samples and product examples may appear different on different screens. Computers and mobile devices are not all calibrated equally and color reproduction on the Internet is not precise. The same is true for printed items such as brochures and other sales literature.

In addition, the colors of our products photograph differently under different lighting conditions. For example, photos taken in full sunlight will vary from photos taken on a cloudy or overcast day. Similarly, shadows from nearby objects can affect the color and transparency of our products. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.

Colors will vary from batch to batch.

Many of our products’ materials are not available through typical stores and vendors and therefore must be custom manufactured specifically for our use. In order to control costs and provide you with the best value possible, our raw materials are produced in large batches and can often take several months to receive. The colors of our materials can, and often do, vary slightly from batch to batch. Although we make every effort to minimize color variations, we cannot be responsible for these differences when they occur. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.

Color names are subjective and may not be what you think the color should be.

For example, we use the name “putty” to describe some of our products. Your idea of the color “putty” may be different than someone else’s idea of “putty”. In addition, products may have the same color name but may not be the exact same color. For example, we have different shades of “black”. Please do not order using color names as your only guide. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.

Inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.

If it is important that your product be an exact color or shade, it is highly recommended that you inspect the actual product prior to its installation and address any concerns with your local independent installer. Most independent installers do not offer refunds or accept returns due to color variations.
