As a pool owner, you have many different options at your fingertips to help keep your pool safe. Those can include a traditional mesh pool cover, a pool fence, a pool alarm, or perhaps even all three, to ensure your pool is safe for children and animals alike. But one of the strongest and most cost-effective ways to keep out unsupervised children and pets is by covering your pool with a net.
At All-Safe, we know your family’s safety is your top priority—it’s ours too. So let’s take a look at how you can properly use a net for a pool from start to finish.
Safety
One of the biggest reasons to use a net for your pool is safety. When choosing a pool net, ensure it’s ASTM compliant. At All-Safe, all our pool nets fulfill this essential requirement with the strength to hold at least 485 pounds.
With 3 ½ inch openings, even determined children cannot fit through All-Safe’s nets. With proper installation, maintenance, and use, your net can help keep your pool safe for children and pets year after year.
Professional Installation
We hope this one speaks for itself, but just to be clear, you need to have your swimming pool net installed by professionals. There’s simply no more effective way to ensure your pool is covered as safely as possible.
When you use a local dealer through All-Safe, a professional installation team will arrive at your home on time and do the job right. Your local team will anchor your net and apply the perfect level of tension, complete with proprietary tools. This means no child can easily un-do the anchors or alter the tension without being taught to do so.
This professional installation starts your life with your net pool cover on the right foot. Trust us—we have 25 years in the business of keeping your children and pets safe.
Regular Maintenance
After your brand new net is secured, make sure you keep a regular maintenance schedule. A net for your pool is only effective as long as it is maintained and used properly! With a few short minutes, you can verify the continued security of your net.
At regular intervals throughout the year, walk around your pool and check the anchors. Are they still solidly in place? Is the netting still securely attached to the anchors? Is there any fraying? While such aberrations are rare, over time, you never know when storms or accidents could potentially loosen the net around your swimming pool.
Easy-to-Use Daily
One of the best things about All-Safe nets for pools is how easy they are to use in your daily life. You don’t have to worry about time-consuming removal or re-covering of your net. In fact, with our proprietary Titan Tool® and Round Loop Tool®, nets are easy to remove from and apply to the pool once anchors are installed.
How to remove your net in five easy steps:
- Apply the Titan Tool® to the deck sleeve and then to the Central
- Tensioning System (CTS) Line. (The Titan Tool® eases the tension.) Undo the second CTS Line.
- Give the net on your pool a snap (lift it and let it fall back onto the water).
- Remove the clip from every anchor around your pool. (Pro tip: as you remove the clips, push the net toward the center of the pool to avoid tangling in the next step.)
- Attach the net to the roller and slowly reel the net in. If it catches on anything, be sure to free the net before continuing.
You can remove your pool net in approximately ten minutes, and replace it in fifteen. The only thing faster is an automatic pool cover! And a net for your swimming pool is a fraction of the cost, so it’s a win-win for you.
Aesthetically Pleasing
Another fantastic reason to choose a net for your pool is that any barrier other than a mesh pool fence will obstruct your view.
Part of the appeal of owning a pool is being able to look out your window at your backyard and see your sparkling, relaxing oasis whenever you want. Most fences can inhibit your view and interfere with the beauty of your yard. During your free consultation, a local All-Safe dealer can help you decide between a pool fence vs a pool net, and recommend which will be most effective for your family.
