DIY or Professional Installation: The Best Way to Install All-Safe Products

In this industry, you have two main options for pool fencing: DIY installation or professional installation. Other safety barriers, like nets or covers, are not currently available for self-installation.

If you choose a professional to install your All-Safe Products, you’re selecting the easier route—saving time, avoiding tricky measurements, and ensuring precise results. Going DIY gives you more control and can save money, but requires tools, careful planning, and extra effort to handle challenging surfaces.

Professional Installation FAQ

Can I buy All-Safe products without a professional installer?

Some products, like pool fences, are available for DIY. Others, like nets and covers, are only installed by professionals to ensure proper safety and performance.

Will the installer help plan the layout?

Absolutely. The installer will assess your pool area and recommend the best product and layout to maximize safety, access, and appearance.

What if my patio has steps, slopes, or landscaping?

No problem! Professional installers are trained to work with all kinds of surfaces—concrete, pavers, grass, retaining walls, and more. They have the tools and experience to adjust the layout as needed.

Can a pro help me meet code requirements?

Yes. While code varies by city and county, your local installer is familiar with common pool safety regulations and can help ensure your fence meets general standards like height and gate latch placement.

What tools does a professional installer use?

Resellers use specialized tools like hammer drills, wet core drills, levels and measuring tapes to ensure clean, precise installation. You don’t need to provide anything—they bring everything required.

Is a permit required for professional installation?

In most areas, pool safety barriers do not require a permit. Your installer can advise based on your location.

How long does installation take?

Most professional installations are completed in a single day, depending on the size and complexity of your layout. Your installer will provide an estimated timeline when you schedule.

Is there a warranty on the product and installation?

All-Safe products include a limited warranty against manufacturer defects. Labor warranties, if offered, are provided separately by your local installer—ask for details during your quote.

Do I need to be home for the installation?

It’s recommended that someone is available at the start to confirm layout and/or placement. Your installer can handle the rest and will notify you when the job is complete.

Do I need to do anything to prepare before installation?

Not much! Just ensure there is running water, power and clear the area around the pool and move any furniture or obstructions. Your installer will take care of the rest.

Is the local reseller an employee of All-Safe?

No. All-Safe resellers are independent installers—not employees. They operate their own businesses and set their own pricing, labor policies, and service availability.

What happens if I need changes after installation?

Most installers can make small adjustments on-site or return later for larger layout changes. If you need to add a gate, move a section, or modify the fence, reach out directly to your reseller. Additional service fees may apply, even if labor is under warranty, depending on the scope of the request.

What if I need service or adjustments down the road?

If you need help after installation—like adjusting a gate, moving a section, or replacing a part—your local installer may be able to assist. Some requests can be handled yourself, and our website offers step-by-step guides and videos to walk you through common adjustments. For more complex changes or on-site service, contact your reseller directly. Service fees will apply depending on the scope of work.

Color Variations

Colors on your screen or brochure may not match the actual color of your product.

Due to the many variations in monitors, phones, and browsers, color samples and product examples may appear different on different screens. Computers and mobile devices are not all calibrated equally and color reproduction on the Internet is not precise. The same is true for printed items such as brochures and other sales literature.

In addition, the colors of our products photograph differently under different lighting conditions. For example, photos taken in full sunlight will vary from photos taken on a cloudy or overcast day. Similarly, shadows from nearby objects can affect the color and transparency of our products. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.

Colors will vary from batch to batch.

Many of our products’ materials are not available through typical stores and vendors and therefore must be custom manufactured specifically for our use. In order to control costs and provide you with the best value possible, our raw materials are produced in large batches and can often take several months to receive. The colors of our materials can, and often do, vary slightly from batch to batch. Although we make every effort to minimize color variations, we cannot be responsible for these differences when they occur. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.

Color names are subjective and may not be what you think the color should be.

For example, we use the name “putty” to describe some of our products. Your idea of the color “putty” may be different than someone else’s idea of “putty”. In addition, products may have the same color name but may not be the exact same color. For example, we have different shades of “black”. Please do not order using color names as your only guide. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.

Inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.

If it is important that your product be an exact color or shade, it is highly recommended that you inspect the actual product prior to its installation and address any concerns with your local independent installer. Most independent installers do not offer refunds or accept returns due to color variations.
