DIY Pool Fence: Project Preparation

Our DIY mesh pool safety fence is designed for homeowners who are confident in their ability to drill into their pool deck. Proper installation is key—misaligned fence holes can affect the fence’s safety and cause costly damage to your deck.

For peg pole fencing, the preferred and easiest installation method is using a hammer drill guide with a ⅝ inch drill bit (from your local hardware store) to create precise fence holes.

Peg Pool fencing can also be installed using a wet drill with a 5/8″ core bit. While this technique is a more advanced method, it is also an installation option.
