Pool Fence – Removable Mesh Safety Fence for Pools

(4 customer reviews)

Price range: $99.00 through $184.81

Removable mesh pool fence from All-Safe®, sold in pre-assembled 15-ft sections — aluminum poles, UV-protected mesh and child-resistant latching hardware. 4-ft and 5-ft heights, 15 mesh-and-paint looks, Peg or 1-inch poles.

Each 15-ft section covers 25% more than a standard 12-ft panel, so fewer poles and fewer holes to drill. Works with All-Safe® gates and most major pool fence brands. Build your fence below, or have a local pro install it for you.

Putting in a pool fence is three steps

Tap a step to open it.

1Plan your layout

Decide where the fence runs and where the gate goes, then measure it.

What to expect on your surface

ConcreteEasiestDrill the holes, tap in the sleeves, set the sections. Hammer drill for Peg; rented wet core drill for 1-inch. Quick guide
Grass, dirt or turfModerateDig a footing at each pole and set a PVC sleeve in poured concrete. The concrete has to set before the fence goes in, so give it the weekend. Grass & dirt guide
Pavers, travertine or tileAdvancedWet core drill only (no hammer drill), PVC sleeves tapped in, holes placed in the seams and angles double-checked so nothing cracks. Slower, steadier work. Paver guide

About 20–30 minutes per 15-ft section once you're going. Advanced surface? Plenty of homeowners still do it, and if you'd rather not, a local pro can quote the whole job.

Not included: the gate (add it in the box above) and, for grass, dirt or turf installs, the concrete for the footings.

Very excellent product. Allstate pool had the 1 inch high quality aluminum poles that I wanted instead of the 20 year old fiberglass poles that I was replacing. The old polls had tiny, fiberglass shreds that could, and did penetrate my non-gloved fingers! The recommended $54 “Pittsburgh model 626015P slide hammer and bearing puller set “ was Extremely useful in removing the previous Teflon sleeves from the old Pole holes.

We love it. We should have bought the drilling jig. That was our decision and it would have made it so much easier. It is perfect to keep unwanted in that area. Would buy it again.

About this fence

All-Safe® removable mesh pool fence gives homeowners and professionals a strong, see-through barrier that helps add an extra layer of protection for children and pets around the pool — without blocking the view of your backyard. Each 15-ft section is pre-assembled with high-strength aluminum poles, UV-protected mesh and child-resistant latching hardware. Pick a height, a look and a pole type, and the sections arrive ready to set in place.

What you get

Every section is built the same way, so the choice comes down to height, look and poles.

  • Heights: 4 ft or 5 ft. Many cities, foster, adoption and daycare programs ask for 5 ft — check with your inspector or agency before you order.
  • Looks: 15 named combinations of mesh and paint (Combo E, Combo H, Malibu, Hampton). Classic paint is smooth with a slight shine; Ultra is textured and cuts glare. Mesh is 10×10 (tighter, window-screen look) or 5×7 (slightly more open). All mesh is UV-protected to resist fading, weathering and chlorine. Not sure about a color? Order a sample first.
  • Poles: Peg (½" peg, 5/8" hole with a hammer drill — our most popular), Y-Beam (1", 1-1/8" hole, Classic paint), Twin I-Beam (1", 1-1/4" hole, Ultra paint) and Solid Core (1", 1-1/4" hole, Ultra paint). All poles are powder-coated for corrosion resistance and a clean finish.
  • Coverage: each 15-ft section covers 25% more than a standard 12-ft panel, with poles every 36 inches for consistent tension — fewer poles, fewer holes, faster installation.
  • Gates: add a matching self-closing gate kit or build one from gate posts, a gate frame and a latch-and-hinge kit, in the same look as your fence.

Made for real backyards

  • See-through: the mesh keeps the pool in view from the house and the patio.
  • Removable: unlatch the sections and lift the poles out for a party or the off-season; the included deck plugs cap the sleeves so the deck stays clean. Putting it back takes minutes.
  • Fits your layout: sections can be shortened (12, 9, 6 or 3 ft) or combined to follow any pool shape.
  • Any surface: concrete, pavers, travertine and tile; grass, dirt and turf installs use PVC sleeves set in poured concrete footings.
  • Works with most brands: our sections, deck sleeves, gate kits and hardware fit many popular mesh pool fence systems, so replacements and upgrades are simple.

Installing it yourself

Most homeowners finish in a weekend with a hammer drill (Peg) or a rented wet core drill (1-inch) — about 20–30 minutes per section once you're going. Most DIY fences run $800–$1,700 in materials, compared with $2,000–$3,500 for a professionally installed fence. Our installation quick guide and videos walk through every step, and if you get stuck, the office is a message away at [email protected] or on chat during business hours. Prefer to have it done? A local pro can quote the whole job.
