Pool fences and gates are available in 4-foot and 5-foot heights. Choosing the right height helps ensure proper safety while complementing your yard layout.
The most common residential height is 4 feet. However, some local codes or adoption agencies may require a 5-foot fence. Always check with your local agency before installation to confirm compliance.
All-Safe pool fencing is ASTM-approved. Click here to read more about ASTM, Local & State Safety Codes.
A standard All-Safe pool fence panel is 36 inches wide, which is the maximum width allowed between poles for optimal strength and safety.
For custom layouts, panels can be trimmed during installation to create a precise fit around your pool, walls, and landscape features.
Pool gates typically span 33 inches between gate posts, with a 30-inch opening for comfortable entry and exit while the fence is installed.
All-Safe self-closing gates are available in 4-ft and 5-ft heights to match your fence and maintain a consistent, code-compliant barrier.
A standard All-Safe fence section includes 5 panels and 6 poles, spanning approximately 15 feet.
Sections can be adjusted during installation to match your exact layout, so your fence fits your space — not the other way around.
As a general guide:
Plan one section for every 15 feet of pool perimeter.
Our mesh pool fences come in coordinated color combinations that pair mesh color, border trim, and pole finish for a clean, cohesive look.
Available options include:
Not all combinations are available in every mesh style or pole finish. Contact your local installer to confirm available options in your area, or explore available color styles in our Colors & Styles Knowledge Base.
A secure pool fence isn’t complete without a properly installed gate. Our self-closing, self-latching pool gates are designed for safety and everyday convenience — automatically swinging shut and locking with a key-lockable latch.
Choose from multiple gate latch styles, frame heights, and post options to match your layout. Every All-Safe gate meets ASTM safety standards and integrates seamlessly with both peg and 1-inch pool fence systems.
If your pool fence needs to begin or end at a fixed structure — such as a house, wall, or post — a Wall Attachment Kit provides a clean and secure connection point.
This option is ideal for layouts that don’t fully surround the pool with fencing, while still maintaining proper tension and ASTM-approved spacing where the fence meets the structure. Wall attachment kits help create a safe, seamless transition between your fence and existing surfaces.
Deck sleeves are installed into your pool deck to securely hold each fence pole in place. When the fence is removed, matching deck plugs cover the holes to keep debris out and maintain a clean, finished look.
All-Safe deck sleeves and plugs are available in multiple colors to match your fence and deck.
1-inch pole sleeves are offered in Tan or Putty, while peg pole sleeves are available in Gray, Tan, or White.
Every removable pool fence requires deck sleeves to anchor each section securely in place.
Safety comes first — but convenience matters too. All-Safe mesh pool fences are designed to be secure while still easy for adults to remove when needed. Once the fence is properly untensioned, each section can be rolled up for compact storage.
To keep your fence in top condition, store rolled sections in a clean, dry container such as a large lidded bin or storage container. This helps protect the mesh and poles from accidental damage when not in use.
When Not in Use
Any open holes in your deck can be covered with matching deck plugs for a clean, finished look.
Important: Fence sections cannot be removed until properly untensioned, helping prevent accidental removal by children.
Our team can help you determine the ideal fence height, gate placement, and system options for your specific yard and safety requirements.
Some pool layouts require more than standard components. All-Safe offers exclusive solutions designed to handle tight corners, elevation changes, walls, and unique yard layouts while maintaining full safety compliance.
Our advanced solutions allow for clean installations that meet safety codes while adapting to real-world yard layouts.

Stronger turns. Cleaner lines. Fewer holes in your deck.
When your pool fence needs to turn beyond 45°, standard 2-pole corners can create tension issues and awkward bowing.
All-Safe Stability-Engineered Corner Posts are designed to maintain proper mesh tension around corners while keeping your fence aligned and secure.
Why they matter:
A common safety challenge occurs when pool fencing is installed near raised walls, planters, or elevation changes. These areas can create climb points that allow a child to access the pool from above the fence line.
All-Safe® Angled Raised Protection Panels are designed to close these gaps by extending protection upward and inward — creating a secure barrier where standard panels cannot.
Panels and poles can extend protection up to 8 feet high, maintaining proper safety coverage while preserving a clean, attractive look that blends with your fence system.
Why they matter:
Blocks climb-over access from raised surfaces
Maintains proper barrier height near walls & planters
Extends protection up to 8 ft high
Integrates cleanly with removable mesh fence systems
Designed exclusively for All-Safe removable fencing
Close Gaps That Standard Fence Sections Can’t
Removable mesh fences rely on proper tension and anchor placement. But when a fence ends near a wall, BBQ island, window ledge, planter, or decorative feature, there isn’t always enough space to drill anchors or maintain proper spacing.
This can leave small but unsafe gaps — and may create ASTM compliance issues.
All-Safe® Side Panels and Piggyback Gap Fillers are designed to securely close those awkward openings while keeping your fence system properly tensioned and aligned.
Why they matter:
Eliminates small gaps near walls, windows, and built-in structures
Helps maintain ASTM compliance
Keeps proper mesh tension and alignment
Prevents small pets or children from accessing through side openings
Designed specifically for All-Safe removable fence systems
Create a Secure Fence End — No Wall Attachment Needed
Every removable pool fence must end at a secure, properly tensioned point.
But not every yard has a wall or structure in the right place.
When your fence needs to stop in open space — near landscaping, grass, glass, or decorative features — All-Safe® Free-Standing Terminating Posts provide a clean, secure way to finish the fence safely and correctly.
These engineered end posts allow your fence to maintain proper tension and safety compliance without needing to attach to a wall or permanent structure.
Two engineered options:
Rectangular Terminating Posts
Designed for concrete or paver installations
Creates a strong, low-profile fence endpoint
Ideal when no wall or structure is available
Round Terminating Posts
Best for grass, dirt, or soft surfaces
Allows turns and flexible layouts
Can be removable using a terminating sleeve

Safe, Secure Fencing for Stairs, Slopes & Elevation Changes
Not every pool area is flat.
If your layout includes stairs, raised planters, retaining walls, or gradual slopes, your fence must adapt while still maintaining proper safety height and tension.
All-Safe® Step Poles are engineered to handle elevation changes cleanly and securely — without gaps, sagging mesh, or awkward transitions.
Where they’re used:
At the top or bottom of stairs
Along sloped decks or patios
Around raised planters and retaining walls
When transitioning between different surface heights
Why they matter:
Maintains proper barrier height across elevation changes
Keeps mesh properly tensioned and aligned
Prevents climb-over gaps at steps
Creates clean, professional transitions

Answers to common layout, installation, and safety questions.
Most residential pool fences use 4-ft height, but some areas or personal preferences call for 5-ft. If you’re unsure, check local code or contact us and we’ll help you choose the right height for safety and compliance.
Start with a basic perimeter measurement of the area you want enclosed. From there, we can help determine section counts, gate placement, and any specialty components needed.
Yes. Many installations combine standard sections with gates, wall attachments, angled panels, or custom fillers to fit the yard correctly.
Sometimes. For turns beyond standard angles or for cleaner tension, stability-engineered corner posts or angled connections may be recommended.
No problem. Step poles, angled panels, and raised protection options are designed specifically for elevation changes and challenging layouts.
All-Safe systems are highly customizable. We offer custom panel sizes, gap fillers, and specialty components to secure areas where standard fencing may not fit.
Most installations are into concrete or pavers. With the right anchors or sleeves, fences can also be installed in turf, dirt, or other surfaces.
Yes. Wall attachment kits and termination posts allow the fence to connect securely to walls, columns, or structural surfaces when needed.
All-Safe fencing is designed to meet ASTM standards when installed correctly. Local codes vary, so we recommend verifying requirements for fence height, gate placement, and spacing in your area.Visit our Pool Fence Code & Compliance page to learn more about common regulations and how to stay compliant.
Yes. Sections can be removed and reinstalled using the same deck sleeves. Deck plugs keep the surface clean when the fence is not in place.

Due to the many variations in monitors, phones, and browsers, color samples and product examples may appear different on different screens. Computers and mobile devices are not all calibrated equally and color reproduction on the Internet is not precise. The same is true for printed items such as brochures and other sales literature.
In addition, the colors of our products photograph differently under different lighting conditions. For example, photos taken in full sunlight will vary from photos taken on a cloudy or overcast day. Similarly, shadows from nearby objects can affect the color and transparency of our products. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.
Many of our products’ materials are not available through typical stores and vendors and therefore must be custom manufactured specifically for our use. In order to control costs and provide you with the best value possible, our raw materials are produced in large batches and can often take several months to receive. The colors of our materials can, and often do, vary slightly from batch to batch. Although we make every effort to minimize color variations, we cannot be responsible for these differences when they occur. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.
For example, we use the name “putty” to describe some of our products. Your idea of the color “putty” may be different than someone else’s idea of “putty”. In addition, products may have the same color name but may not be the exact same color. For example, we have different shades of “black”. Please do not order using color names as your only guide. If a precise color or specific shade is important, please inspect the actual color of your product prior to installation.
If it is important that your product be an exact color or shade, it is highly recommended that you inspect the actual product prior to its installation and address any concerns with your local independent installer. Most independent installers do not offer refunds or accept returns due to color variations.
