The gate frame itself is intentionally shorter than the fence height. While these are referred to as 4-foot and 5-foot gate frames, those names correspond to the height of your pool fence system—not the actual frame dimensions.
When installed on the gate posts, the gate frame is suspended slightly above the deck to provide proper ground clearance and allow the gate to swing freely while maintaining safe operation.
