Description

What Are Solar Sun Rings?

Solar Sun Rings are passive solar heating devices designed to warm your pool naturally. Each ring generates 21,000 BTUs of heat per day by converting sunlight into usable heat.

Made from two layers of durable, UV-resistant vinyl, the top clear layer focuses sunlight on the blue lower layer, which absorbs 50% of the light and converts it into heat. The remaining sunlight passes through for deep water heating.

How Do They Work?

  1. Daytime Heating: Sunlight penetrates the rings, heating your pool water efficiently.
  2. Nighttime Insulation: The contained air acts as an insulating blanket to retain daytime heat overnight.
  3. Evaporation Reduction: The two-layer design minimizes water and chemical evaporation.

Additionally, Solar Sun Rings are equipped with six magnets that help them “raft” together while preventing entrapment in accidental falls. They are also designed to separate easily if caught by an automatic pool cleaner hose, ensuring uninterrupted operation.

Key Benefits:

  • Free Heat: Each ring produces 21,000 BTUs of heat daily.
  • Water and Chemical Savings: Reduced evaporation helps conserve water and pool chemicals.
  • Cleaner Pools: Designed to minimize algae growth while leaving spaces for direct sunlight.
  • Automatic Cleaner Compatible: Won’t interfere with pool cleaning systems.
  • Durability: Made with UV-resistant heavyweight vinyl for long-lasting performance.
  • Easy to Clean: A sponge and mild detergent are all you need.

How Many Sun Rings Do You Need?

To achieve optimal heating, we recommend covering 70-80% of your pool’s surface area with Solar Sun Rings.
