Description

What Is a Round Termination Post?

The Free-Standing Pool Fence End & Turn Post is used when your pool fence needs to end or change direction in dirt, grass, or turf, and there is no solid structure available to attach to.

Instead of connecting to a wall, glass panel, or existing fence, this post acts as a self-supporting anchor point, holding the proper tension required for a safe and secure pool fence installation.

Installation Options

This post offers flexibility depending on your installation needs:

Permanent Installation

-Set directly into a concrete footing
-Provides a strong, fixed anchor point

Removable Installation

-Install using a Round Terminating Post Sleeve
-Allows the post to be removed when needed
-Ideal for temporary or seasonal setups

When Do You Need This?

This post is the right solution when:

  • Your fence ends in dirt or grass and cannot attach to a structure
  • The existing structure is not strong enough (glass, vinyl, aging wood, etc.)
  • You need to make a turn in dirt or turf
  • You need a standalone anchor point for a custom layout

It can also be used in situations where obstacles like irrigation, electrical, or drainage lines prevent standard installation, allowing flexibility with custom side panel connections.

Important: What This Post Is NOT For

This is where most confusion happens, so we call it out clearly:

❌ Not a standard fence pole for dirt installations
❌ Does not replace properly set poles with concrete footings

If you are installing a full fence run in dirt or grass, standard fence poles must be set in concrete footings.

This post is designed only for end support and directional changes (turns).

Parts Included:

  • (1) Round Terminating Post
  • (1) Round Terminating Post Cap
  • (1) Eye Bolt with Nylock Nut

Helpful Tips & Tricks:

  • Avoid attaching the eye bolt to a 1/2 inch iron fence post, as they may bend or break under tension. Instead, always secure the eye bolt through a main support post on an iron fence for maximum durability.

Specifications:

  • Length: 84 inches
  • Width (diameter): 1-5/8 inches

This Round Terminating Post ensures a strong and versatile foundation for your fence installation needs, providing peace of mind and flexibility for various site conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cut the Round Terminating Post to a shorter length?

Yes. The Round Terminating Post is shipped at 84 inches long and can be cut to the length needed for your installation. This allows you to customize the post height while maintaining a clean, professional appearance. Always verify your finished height requirements before making any cuts.

Can the Round Terminating Post be installed as a removable or permanent post?

Yes. The Round Terminating Post can be installed either as a removable post using a Round Terminating Post Sleeve or as a permanent post by setting it directly in concrete. Both installation methods are commonly used depending on the needs of the project. For either installation method, we recommend using Rapid Set® Concrete Mix or a similar fast-setting concrete to help reduce installation time and allow the post to be secured more quickly.
