The 18″ Aluminum Extended Deck Sleeve is an option for 1inch pole pool fence installations on pavers, paver-style tile systems, shallow concrete decks (under 3-½”), or installations with cement footers in dirt or grass. Designed for maximum stability, this rigid aluminum sleeve provides proper embedment depth for fence poles, gate trusses, and corner posts. Compatible with both 1-Inch Classic and 1-Inch Ultra Pool Fence systems and installs using standard All-Safe core bit sizes.

For traditional pool fence installations on concrete or concrete-based surfaces, the standard 4″ deck sleeves included with All-Safe pool fence sections are the best choice.
However, when installing a pool fence on pavers or on surfaces built over a paver-style substructure (where no solid concrete slab exists beneath), extended sleeves are required. The same applies when a concrete deck measures less than 3-½ inches thick. In these applications, standard sleeves do not provide adequate depth or long-term stability.
Using standard 4″ sleeves in pavers is a common installation mistake. While the fence may initially appear secure, pavers are not mortared or cemented in place and will shift over time. As movement occurs, fence posts—especially gate trusses and corner posts—lose stability, eventually leading to fence or gate failure.
The 18″ Aluminum Extended Sleeve is an alternative solution for these conditions and is compatible with both 1-Inch Classic Pool Fence and 1-Inch Ultra Pool Fence pole systems. Do not use with Peg Pole fencing.
The aluminum sleeve offers superior rigidity and allows installers to use standard All-Safe core bit sizes:
PVC extended sleeves require an oversized 1-⅜” core bit, making aluminum the more efficient and professional choice.

Green (Basic): DIY-friendly. Uses standard tools like a hammer drill (owned or rented). No specialty parts or complex techniques required.
Yellow (Intermediate): Moderate difficulty. Requires specialized installation techniques and additional or custom-ordered parts.
Orange (Advanced): High difficulty. Requires a core drill for 1-inch fencing and/or advanced professional installation methods.
Red (Expert): Complex projects. Involves steep slopes, large elevation changes, custom on-site fabrication, and specialized equipment.
The warranty coverage for your core bit depends on the manufacturer selected when purchasing.
All-Safe branded core bits are covered by the All-Safe Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Warranty coverage does not apply to normal wear, misuse, improper operation, improper storage, damage resulting from incorrect drilling practices, or normal wear of the diamond cutting segments.
